About Department

                   Telugu Department was started in the year 1952 B.A. Telugu Literature was being taught from the year 1952 onwards. Dr. U.Mohanakumari was the HoD of the Department took the Headship . From 2024 wards the department is running under the Headship of Dr. U.Mohana kumari  , One Permanent staff with Two Guest Lecturers

Vision

                 To foster a deep appreciation and understanding of Telugu literature, promoting critical thinking, creativity and cultural awareness among, students and empowering them to become thoughtful, engaged, and literate citizens of a global security.

Mission

                  "To educate, enlighten, and inspire students to appreciate, understand, and engage with Telugu literature, fostering a deeper connection with the language, culture, and heritage of Telugu-speaking communities". 

Programme Outcome

                     Literary pieces which have moral values and literary significance are selected form classical medieval and modern literary works.
