Profile

            Dr. M. Thenmozhi has 20 years of UG and PG teaching experience. At present, she is guiding four (three full time and one Part time) PhD research scholars and six MPhil Scholars has completed their dissertation under her guidance at Queen Mary’s College. Her expertise are in the field of Modern History, Historiography, International Studies, Women studies and Tourism.

She has completed Minor Research Project on the title “Sea level Rise and its Impact on the Maritime Heritage Sites of Tamil Nadu, Pulicat to Poompuhar” funded by TANSCHE.

Presented a paper on an International Conference on title “Role of NGO’s In Realizing Millennium Development Goals: A Study In Tamilnadu, India” an International Conference, Organised by IPSA, Montreal, Canada, 19th – 24th July 2014.

Dr. M. Thenmozhi, organised an Archaeological Exhibition in collaboration with Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and exhibited the pictures of the artefacts and excavated sites of Indus Valley civilisation, Vagai river civilisation (keezhadi) and Adhichanalur. Mr. Amarnath Ramakrishnan Director of keezhadi excavation was the chief guest and he had delivered a informative speech about the archaeological excavations of India. This event was an eye opener for our students. She organised National Seminar on “Dravidian Ideology and Constitution of India”/ “திராவிடக் கருத்தியலும் இந்திய அரசியலமைப்புச் சட்டமும்”, organised by the Department of Historical Studies, Queen Mary’s College with Dravidian Historical Research Centre on 12.02.2025. She was the Coordinator of Faculty Development Programme under honorable chief minister’s Naan Mudhalvan Scheme on course “Fundamental of Web Development – EDUNET”, organised by University of Madras – Naan Mudhalvan, from 20.01.2025 to 25.01.2025 at Queen Mary’s College, Chennai – 04.
